Queen of the night

When do you love life just as it is? Embracing now?


I just walked home form a friend, quite late at night and this feeling of being totally in the present comes over me and fills me up completely. It feels great. Fantastic. I'm the queen of the world, haha. The beautiful snowy white streets are all mine and I feel free to do whatever that comes to mind : )
There's something about being alone in the night that makes me happy, not afraid (except for Friday and Saturday nights or very dark ones at less friendly places..). And it has always been like this, is it weird you think? Weird or not, I hear many people talking about taking care of now; to be in the moment; live each day as if there's no tomorrow and be happy over the little things; truly see the little things and place them in a bigger perspective.. or something like that, and that'll make you happier wherever you are; I think there's some truth to that since walking home in snowing (or bright summer) nights make me love life much more somehow : ) Good night!

Lovely tradition.

Pepparkakshusbygge - farmors traditon. Förut träffades alltid den närmsta släkten på pappas sida i Villan, där farmor skapat en älskad jultradition med lite julpyssel god mat och pepparkakshusbygge.
Ibland som spännande tävling - vem bygger ett standardhus snabbast och snyggast? Andra gånger bara för det roliga med det - eftersom det alltid blir väldigt kladdigt :) 
Nu när farmor flyttat söder har traditionen bytt plats till 66:an och traditionen fortsätter med ökning i familjerna! I år ser utökades även kreativiteten och det byggdes till verandor och balkonger!

Jag fick med min och pappas hem och det doftar ljuvligt!!

I got the one I and dad made with me home and it smells lovely!!

Gingerbread house building - tradition by my grandma. We used to meet in Villan (grandmas' house) with the closest relatives on my fathers side to Christmas pottering and eating good food and build gingerbread houses. Sometimes as a competition - how can finish first with the finest house? Other times just for the fun of it - as it's always very messy :) 

When grandma moved south last year we moved the tradition to 66:an with a bigger families too! This year the houses were developed with porches and balconies!

Måste få säga att jag tycker jag och J är ett riktigt bra team, snacka om quick fix av entré miljön idag!

Efter en knapp halvtimma innan öppning och en dryg haltimma efter stängning fixade vi en helt ny, välfylld, vardagsrums miljö med belysning och allt med en blandning av mordernt, antikt och återvinning. Säger bara det: Blend. Våga blanda olika material!

Tanken: fjällstuga, vintermys, efter vitt, svart och grått kommer brunt... Basen blev därför rustikt med återvinningsmaterialen(trä: A.Grossisten, glas: EM) samt svart från Sörsäter byrån som återkommer på väggen med lister och tavlor, grönt och rött som bas-accent färg i främst textiler, soffan går främst i svart men binder ihop med sin varma bruna ton det hårda svarta och det grova bruna träet. Många plädar och kuddar, de gröna returglasen och ljusen skapar mycket av den välkomnande myskänslan :)

Och hörrni, mässingen är helt klart påväg tillbaka i rampljuset och skapar stämning i våra moderna hem! :P

I must say that me and J are a great team! After hardly a half hour before opening and little over one after closing we managed to change the entré completely, with light and everything, to a well filled livingroom environment.

Thought: mountain cottage, winterkozyness, after white, black and grey comes brown... The base was then the recycled dark wood and also black. Black is represented in the drawer adn the picture frames and also in the sofa which combines the black with the recycled wood with its brown warmer tones. Green and red is the base for accent colours mostly in textile and many pillows and blankets, the green recycle glasses and candle lights creates to a large extent the welcomming kozyness :)

And, brass is definitly on its way back in the limelight to give warmth in our modern homes! :P
